The noise of the day rarely ends when work does. It follows us into rooms, meals, and the final minutes before sleep. Giving sound an intentional place turns being carried by noise into choosing what you hear.

Three layers of sound for the evening
- Natural ground: rain, water, or wind to soften the edges of a room.
- Instrumental music: piano, strings, or ambient tones to return attention to the breath.
- Quiet: leave two minutes at the end with nothing playing, and notice what is actually here.
You do not need a “healing playlist.” You need one song you want to hear again.
Music does not need to have a correct purpose. A melody may bring back a person, a road, or a past season. That is alright. Let it move through without requiring an immediate explanation.
“Some feelings do not need to be solved. They need a place where they can be heard.”
